Cause:
The audio CD MCI driver is not installed on the computer.
Solution:
Install and enable the audio CD MCI driver.
1) Install the audio CD MCI driver:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
c) Double-click the 'Add New Hardware' icon. (The 'Add New Hardware Wizard' appears.)

d) Click 'Next'.
e) Select the 'No' radio button and click 'Next'.

f) Select 'Sound, video and game controllers' in the 'Hardware types' list box.

g) Click 'Next'.
h) Select 'Microsoft MCI' from the 'Manufacturers' list box.
i) Select 'CD Audio Device Driver (Media Control)' from the 'Models' list box.

j) Click 'Next'.

l) When prompted, insert the Windows 95 CD into the CD-ROM drive. (The 'System Settings Change' dialog box appears.)
m) Click 'Yes' to restart the computer.

2) Enable the audio CD driver:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
c) Double-click the 'Multimedia' icon. (The 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box appears.)

d) Click the 'Advanced' tab.
e) Double-click 'Media Control Devices'. (The branch expands, displaying all devices.)

f) Select 'CD Audio Device (Media Control)'.
g) Click 'Properties'. (The 'CD Audio Device (Media Control) Properties' dialog box appears.)

h) Select the 'Use this Media Control device' radio button.

i) Click 'OK' to close the 'CD Audio Device (Media Control) Properties' dialog box.
j) Click 'OK' to close the 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box.
3) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to exit the 'Control Panel' window.
